When I checked my email tonight, I got the neatest gift. My daughter, Jenny, wrote about being out at the farm tonight with the boys. They are trying to get the house ready to move in and they already have 50 chicks and 6 geese. She said she has been so busy and trying to keep her “head from spinning off.” That can happen to moms without a brood of chicks, a new farm, a house that needs work, a 5 yr. old boy and a 1.5 year old boy. It’s what she said next that is my gift. “I was just there(new farm) with the kids at sunset, taking some measurements and checking on the 50 chicks and 6 goslings. The light coming through the windows and the view of the fields was just as lovely as can be…” She said that the light out at the house was “just as lovely as can be…” In all the chaos, my daughter noticed the light. I would like to think I had a little bit to do with her appreciation of sunsets, fields and the lovely light. How lovely are your creations Lord, especially my children and theirs. And the lovely, lovely light.
