access to affordable, quality medical care is a human right (and should be presumed as a Constitutional right – http://www.writingresource.info/healthcare/), so why should humans in red states have fewer rights than humans in blue states?

Preamble to the US Constitution
“We the People(1) of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare,(2) and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

1, The Preamble declares that: “We the People of the United States …. do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.” The meaning is clear that all authority originates from the People.

2. “general welfare,” as used in the Constitution, refers to: “health, happiness, or prosperity; well-being. [Middle English wel faren, to fare well]”

Even Thomas Jefferson talked about it, and President George Washington earmarked money for universal healthcare. Yes, it was presumed inclusive as a Constitutional right, where the earliest US citizens realized that if you didn’t have your health, you couldn’t pursue happiness.
